Asia-Pacific Human Development Report- One Planet to share
Description: The Asia-Pacific Regional Human Development Report (APHDR) is an important resource and instrument to explore critical development concerns. The Report informs policies and actions from a human development perspective, putting people at the centre of development debates. As a regional public good, the APHDR focuses on issues that are of common concern to several countries in the region, have sensitivities that are better addressed at a regional level, or have clear cross-border dimensions, calling attention to the fact that development challenges are no longer confined within geographic spaces.

E-Discussion on CLIMATE CHANGE AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Description: Under UNDP’s Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific, the Human Development Report Unit (HDRU) located at the UNDP Asia-Pacific Regional Centre leads the work on the flagship Asia-Pacific Human Development Report (APHDR) series. APHDRs are independent policy advocacy documents supported by UNDP as outcomes of multi-stakeholder participatory processes. The central mandate of HDRU is to produce Regional Human Development Reports for Asia-Pacific to support advocacy and capacity development on critical regional development concerns.

E-Discussion: Gender - Overcoming Unequal Power, Unequal Voice
Description: The Asia Pacific Human Development Network (AP-HDNet) is an e-platform where members exchange knowledge, raise and debate issues on human development in the region. Working with stakeholders in the region to guide the directions of the Asia-Pacific Human Development Reports is critical. It helps in shaping and prioritising issues, builds capacity, provides an experience-sharing platform, helps dissemination and promotes buy-in. The AP-HDNet is therefore an integral part of the process leading to the preparation of the Asia-Pacific Human Development Reports (APHDRs), and it helps to disseminate the findings of the APHDRs.

Asia Pacific Human Development Report Power, Voice and Rights
Description: The report focuses on the critical question of advancing gender equality, as seen through the prism of women’s unequal power, voice, and rights. Despite the region’s many economic gains, the Report chronicles how in many instances women across the region continue to be held back and disadvantaged. Even as many women have benefited from their countries’ improved education, health, and prosperity, they continue to face barriers to the same opportunities available to men.

HDR 2009 - Overcoming barriers: Human mobility and development
Description: The Report breaks new ground in applying a human development approach to the study of migration. It discusses who migrants are, where they come from and go to, and why they move. It looks at the multiple impacts and barriers to migration and gives recommendations to maximize gains from human movement.

E-Discussion on Transforming corruption through Human Development
Description: This Publication is a consolidated reply of an E-Discussion on Transforming Corruption through Human Development. The principal objective of this discussion was to engage stakeholders in a constructive and multifaceted debate on corruption for the Asia Pacific Human Development Report. The results of the discussion enriched the Report and gave it a sharper focus on the poor. It is a useful resource for Governance sector officials.

Description: This is the first National Human Development Report 2003 for Pakistan. How do local structures of power (landlords, local officials, etc…) deprive the poor of their income and assets?
The report examines the challenges and pitfalls of implementing decentralization reforms and articulates a multi-pronged strategy for overcoming poverty, based on an analysis of the processes of poverty and the structure of the national economy.
