Country Programme Annual Review 2007
Description: The UNDP Pakistan Country Programme Annual Review (Feb-Mar 2008) revolves contains assessment of anticipated results, likely outcomes and probable impacts achieved, as specified in the Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP). The review covers the five thematic areas namely Poverty Reduction & Gender, Governance, Environment & Energy and Crisis Prevention & Recovery. It considers the opinions of a wide range of stakeholders and partners including key Government institutions, UN agencies, Donors, Civil Society Organizations and multilateral institutions regarding how UNDP has contributed towards the developmental goals of the country.

UNDAF
Description: Pakistan is signatory to the Millennium Declaration that identifies eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which range from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV and AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date of 2015. The UN system assists the Government of Pakistan in meeting these Goals. Towards this end, the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) was developed as a collective response to national challenges identified through the Common Country Assessment (CCA). This focuses on political, economic and social development. Under the UNDAF, the United Nations System will encourage civil society participation and partnership, particularly for the poor, women and marginalized groups.

Country Programme Action Plan
Description: The CPAP is a legal agreement between the Government of Pakistan (GoP) to implement the country programme from 2004-2008. The document provides detailed information on implementation and management of programme/projects. The CPAP is based on the United Nations Framework for Development (UNDAF) for 2004-2008. The current CPAP between the GoP and UNDP has been signed by the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) on behalf of the government.

Description: The UNDP Pakistan Country Programme has been developed through an assessment and development process in consultation with the Government of Pakistan, civil society and development partners have also been involved in the process. This Country Programme document covers the period 2004-2008. It gives an account of past cooperation (1998-2003) and lessons learned.

Mid-Term Review of the UNDP Country Programme
Description: UNDP Country Programme for Pakistan (CP) (2004-2008) mid-term review (MTR) high lights the achievements attained and ascertain the perspectives held by UNDP’s partners. It also identifies major issues to be addressed, and recommend strategic actions for strengthening the CP. The organizing framework for conducting the MTR is the set of matrices that relate actual results of UNDP projects and non-projects performance to each of the seven Outcomes contained in the CP.
